What is required to get my Virginia Real Estate License?

You must complete and pass the Principles of Real Estate course to be eligible to take the PSI. Once you have passed the PSI, you must affiliate with a broker to become an active real estate salesperson in Virginia.

How do I check my Continuing Education and Post Licensing Credits?

To check Continuing Education Credits go to the DPOR website which is www.dpor.virginia.gov and click on License Lookup. Put your name in as it appears on your license and check the Real Estate Individuals Box then click on search. When your license comes up click on View Continuing Education Hours to see the continuing education credits you have posted. If you are on your first renewal and need post licensing hours, scroll down and click the Post License Education Link on the left side of the screen to view your post license credits.

I am a Virginia Salesperson, can I get my North Carolina license?

Yes, for a Virginia Salesperson to get the North Carolina license they must pass the PSI for North Carolina which can be taken at the PSI location at Military Circle in Norfolk. If you are a salesperson and you pass the PSI you will be given a Provisional Broker‘s License in North Carolina. You will be required to take 90 hours of post licensing credits which must include a minimum of 30 hours a year for 3 years. Upon completion of the 90 hours your provisional status will be removed and you will have a NC Brokers license.

How do I get my loan/mortgage officer license?

Virginia does not require a license for mortgage/loan officers. Our course is a certificate course designed to give you the basics to help you secure a position as a loan officer.
